    (2019) Summer Social

In June 2019, The Justice Hack community gathered on the rooftop of Spaces Vancouver for our first-ever Summer Social. Despite the blustery weather, more than 60 attendees came out to connect, celebrate, and hear from inspiring speakers including Jack Newton (Clio) and Margaret Mereigh (CBABC President).

Jack reminded us that access to justice is a product-market fit problem — and a trillion-dollar opportunity waiting to be solved.

“There’s essentially a trillion-dollar opportunity sitting out there for lawyers to figure out…”

“When we talk about access to justice, I do think it is as simple as thinking about a product-market fit problem,” he said, adding that in the U.S. alone, more than $350 billion is spent on legal services annually.

“This data is telling us that only represents 23% of the opportunity that’s out there. There’s essentially a trillion-dollar opportunity sitting out there for lawyers to figure out, if they can figure out: how do we better build product-market fit.”

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable evening. Your energy and ideas helped set the stage for a bigger, better The Justice Hack in the fall!
